About the skilling times and tables?

The methods you will currently find in the skilling guides are ones you would follow if you were looking to play Runescape in an efficient manner. By this I mean that when you level up a certain skill, you are making potential experience for 2 or 3 others. This is known as chaining skills.

All the times are based on average xp rates which have been well tested. If you are interested in improving on them then I should warn you that it will involve long and tedious training.

An experience rate must be tested over an hour with no breaks, no chatting, no trading or anything else, on a server which has at least 1000 users. You must then repeat that over a further 2 hours to get 3 different xp rates which must then be averaged. IF your average xp rate differs more than 5% of the one indicated then I may take your findings into account on the main site but only then if you are a reputable skiller.

For some skills, the actual times can vary a lot. If you find you are consistently slower than the times stated then you need to try harder.
The times indicated are in Days : Hours : Minutes : Seconds. The XP amounts are for the level marked only. The main Time column indicates the amount of time to that level from level 1. The Next column indicates the amount of time it will take from the level you are on to the next one. This is from the beginning of each level.

When did you get the idea for Runegamer?

May 2006. I made the site for a number of reasons. One was because I used to spend a lot of time on the Runescape forums and always used to see threads with people asking how long it would take to reach specific skill levels. These questions were only rarely answered so seeing that was part of the motivation to build the site.

How long did the site take to build?

No where near as long as it took to research :) The research for the first version of the site took around 4 months (I gave up for a month in the middle somewhere lol). The actual building of the first version took just a few days. The second version which you see now took longer to build and the research for the extra sections took around 2 months.

How many people are involved with running Runegamer?

Aside from the forum, it's just one person. I do all my own research and write all my own guides. Sometimes I get a little snowed under with it all but I prefer it that way to be honest ;)
The forum is different. By it's nature it needs extra people to help keep the peace. The forum is run by myself, Wolfie plus 8 other moderators.

Can I join the Runegamer team?

If you think you can write high quality guides then contact me on the forums. If you're interested in testing guides on this site then you'll need to be a regular forum member who is helpful and knowledgeable in most aspects of Runescape.

I can't find theunforgiving on this site or on the forum.

Maxboison and Theunforgiving are the same person. Maxboison is my Runescape and Runegamer forum name, theunforgiving is my Youtube name.

If you have any further questions then you can quite easily reach me on the forums.

~~Maxboison~~

Thanks to r killer o for corrections.
