Thanks to a few good air companies being set up on by PTP players on FTP
worlds, runecrafting on free worlds has never been better. You can get
involved with an air company simply by reading on the Runescape forums
though you cannot post which may cause some minor difficulties.
As part of an air company you will stand at the air alter south of Falador
and pay other players to bring you rune essence. You
then give them back noted essence and pay them the going rate (around 2K per run). The best
level to start doing this is level 44. If you start before this level then
you will be losing money for every single trade that you make.
The levelling method on FTP is as follows: 1-44 Run your own air runes (South
of Falador)
44-99 Craft airs in an air rune company
1-44 Running airs
Rune mysteries quest needed to start. Bring with you an air tiara and
have plenty of ordinary ess in the bank. As you level up you will start
making more air runes per essence.

company can fluctuate ENORMOUSLY depending on the time of day and other
variables. These times are based on getting 2 trades a minute on average.
