Don't go anywhere near this skill unless you have at least 200k in the bank and at least 1 million gp if you want to start taking it seriously. Don't forget that this is money you will NEVER get back through construction.

There ARE methods for levelling for free but they are so slow that they are not worth pursuing. Remember TIME is as valuable a commodity as money on Runescape so level up on money making skills first and then invest some of that money to quickly raise the easy construction levels.

This guide is not strictly speaking a power guide. It is without the butler but with teleports to your house and back to Varrock. The method is as follows:

0-19 Standard wooden furniture
19-33 Oak furniture
33-99 Oak larders

Standard wooden furniture 0-19
Equip yourself with a lava staff and boots of lightness. In your inventory have 300 iron nails, a pile of money, pile of laws, pile of airs. hammer and saw. At this stage it doesn't matter about being too precise with your inventory as the type of furniture you make will be constantly changing. When you level up you should immediately start making any new items instead. To view quantities of all other resources needed you should CLICK HERE.

Build the 4 basic levelling rooms as soon as you can with the kitchen to the east and workshop to the south - this layout will give you maximum efficiency when you get to oak larders. Put the dining room and parlour to the west and north. When you have built the workshop, immediately build the tool rack in there - this is the only thing you need to build in there for levelling purposes.

At all levels you should always remove your furniture as you build it. DON'T make flatpacks - This is a total waste of time.

Levelling pattern
Bank at Varok East
Fill inventory with logs - Run to sawmill operator
Convert logs to planks - Teleport to house
Build furniture then Teleport back to varok
Run to Varok east bank and repeat.

Oak furniture 19-33
By this point you should have set up the 4 basic rooms. If you wish to continue levelling efficiently the dont build anything else. From here on you won't need any more nails freeing up another inventory space. The levelling pattern is the same as before but with oaks instead.

Oak larders 33-99
Now to start levelling properly. You can now fully utilise the system you set up earlier. Equipment should be lava staff and boots of lightness only. In your inventory should be at least a few hundred laws, a few hundred airs and a saw.

Levelling pattern
Bank at Varok east. Take out 6000gp and 24 oak logs
Go to the saw mill, convert logs and teleport to house
Run into workshop and pick up a hammer
Run into kitchen - build and remove oak larders
Teleport to Varok - run east, drop hammer
Bank and repeat

At level 50 you should build the portal chamber (for 100k). The reason for this is that in the long run it will save you money on teleports as with it you will only use half the runes you were using before. The portal should be placed next to the kitchen for maximum efficiency.

Once built you should set up the Varrock teleport, which will cost 100 laws, 300 airs and 300 fire runes.

With this in place you can now portal to Varrock instead of using runes. If you decide not to do this then your times will still be very similar.
