Between a Rock...
Starting point:
Speak to the old dwarf in Keldagrim mines. Entrance to the
mines is north east of Relekka, just north of the mith/iron
mine.
Items needed: Cannonball mould,
4 gold bars, hammer, pickaxe, and a few thousand coins.
Requirements: Must have
completed Fishing Contest
and Dwarf Cannon. Must have
30 defence, 40 mining and 50 smithing. |

Walkthrough: 1. Enter the
Keldagrim mines east of Rellekka. Talk to the ferryman who will
take you across the river for 2gp. From there go east, north
then west where you will find Dondakan standing by a cannon.
Speak to him to start the quest. Agree to help him find out
what's inside the rock.

2. Go back to the ferryman and go back across the river. Next
talk to the boatman and ask him to take you to Keldagrim. On
your arrival in Keldagrim, go west across the bridge and enter
the first house which is the library. Talk to the librarian
about impenetrable rocks. After this go briefly south then east
to the smithy and talk to the dwarven engineer.
3. Head to Ice mountain by either taking the mine cart out of
Keldagrim and walking to the northern mine exit or teleporting
to Falador and walking North east. Talk to Rolad about the rock
and he'll tell you he's found a book about it but he's lost the
pages.

4. Enter the mine Through the trapdoor near Rolad. To find the
three pages you should do the following things ( in any order ).
Search the minecarts, mine ores and kill scorpions. When you've
found all 3 you should head back to Rolad who will put the book
together.
5. Read the book then go back to Dodakan in the keldagrim mines
by taking the mine cart from the dwarven mines to Keldagrim
(150gp) then take the boat up the river to the mines. Show
Dodakan the book and ask him what else he's tried to get in the
rock. Use a gold bar on him and he'll get you to make some
golden cannon balls. Head to a furnace and use a gold bar on it
with a cannon ball mould in your inventory.
6. Take the gold cannon ball back to Dodakan (use the cannon
ball on him). Next agree to be fired through the rock yourself.
Dodakan gives you the first part of the schematics to assemble
and instructs you to make a golden helmet as well.
7. First you need to get the rest of the schematics. The first 2
parts are with people you've already spoken to. These are the
dwarven engineer in the smithy in south west Keldagrim and Rolad
on ice mountain. For Rolad's schematic you need to read his book
again and tear out the last page. For the last schematic go to
white wolf mountain and enter the passage underneath it. Talk to
Khorvak in the pub. He'll give you the last schematic in
exchange for a glass of dwarven stout. There's one sitting on
the table which you should pick up and use with him.
8. Assemble the schematics so they look like the following
picture:

9. Go to a smithy and use a gold bar on an anvil to make a
golden helmet (this uses up 3 bars). Put this helmet on and
return to Dodakan. He then fires you into the rock. When on the
other side, quickly mine 5 gold ores then jump the flames into
the middle and talk to the flame circle. If at any point you
need to leave the cave you can tele out by removing your golden
helmet.

An Arzinian demon (level varies in comparison to your own)
appears who fights using mage. Defeat him and you end up outside
the rock once more. Talk to Dodakan and its quest complete!

Reward: 5000 defence xp, 5000
mining xp, 5000 smithing xp and a rune pickaxe.
