Catapult Construction
Starting point:
Talk to the Catapult Guard, north of the Tyras Camp
Items needed: Anti poison
potion, hammer, knife, 10 mahogany planks, 90 mith nails,
and a saw.
Recommended items: A few
thousand coins, charged amulet of glory, food and Falador
tele runes.
Requirements: 44 construction
and 42 fletching. Must have completed
Regicide quest.
Recommended requirements: 54

Walkthrough:
1. Talk to the guard by the catapult just north of Tyras camp in
Isafdar and say "I guess you're going to get fired then" an then
"what do you suggest". Agree to talk to General Hining.
2. Go south through the dense forest and talk to General Hining.
Offer to help and he gives you the engineers letter.
3. Head north through the Isafdar forest and talk to the
engineer.
Say to him "the general asked me to find you" and then "I'm
quite an experienced carpenter". He gives you the catapult
schematics.
4. Read the schematics and then make sure you have the mahogany
planks, mithril nails, hammer, knife, saw and schematics in your
inventory. ONLY THEN click "make the parts"
5. Talk to the engineer again and say "can I read the letter".
Read this and then make your way to Rolad the dwarf by the
entrance to the dwarven mines on ice mountain. Ask Rolad for the
metal parts.
6. Head to the pub in Port Sarim and talk to Thaki the delivery
dwarf. Tell him you're a sailor but he wont believe you.
Go outside the pub and "search" the drunken sailor for the
sailors hat.
Put this on and talk to Thaki again. He gives you the metal
catapult parts.
7. Make your way back to the catapult and use the metal parts on
the catapult - the guard then talks to you and you start a
puzzle. Follow these pictures to repair the left and right sides
of the catapult.
8. Talk to the guard again and say you're ready to test the
catapult. Aim the catapult with the direction controls and
change the shot distance with the counterweight to hit all 3
boulders.
9. Talk to the guard again and it's quest complete!
Reward: 15,000 construction xp,
5000 fletching xp, 30 teak planks, 2000 coins, adamant halberd
and no friendly-fire when using castle wars catapults.
