Ghosts Ahoy
Starting point:
Talk to Velorina in her house in the north-east of Port
Phasmatys
Items needed: A few hundred
coins, Amulet of ghostspeak, bowl of water, 5 buckets,
bucket of milk, gloves, knife, needle, oak longbow, 5 pots,
silk, spade, thread, and 3 of each colour dye.
Requirements: 25 agility, 20
cooking and must be able to defeat a level 32 monster. Must
have completed Priest in Peril
and Restless Ghost
quests. |

Walkthrough: 1. Go to the farm
just east of the ectofuntus in Morytania. Kill chickens and cows
to get 10 normal bones. Next go east to the ectofuntus. Go up
the stairs and and use bones with the loader (be careful not to
bury them).
Wind the bone grinder and then empty the bin. Do this for 5
bones. Go back downstairs and then open and go down the
trapdoor. Go down to the bottom of the cave and use your 5
buckets with the pool.
Go back up and worship the ectofuntus 5 times and talk to a
disciple to get 25 tokens. Repeat this with your other 5 bones
to get 50 ecto tokens, which is more than enough to complete
this quest.
Go through the barrier just south of the ectofuntus (costs 2
ecto tokens).
2. Head to the bank in Port Phasmatys. Bank all your buckets and
pots then take out all the other items you need for this quest
(put the gloves on). Head north of the bank and talk to Velorina.
Offer to help her.
3. Go back to the ectofuntus and talk to Necrovarus, he wont
listen so go back to Velorina again. Ask her where the woman can
be found.
4. Exit Port Phasmatys and go west to the old crones house which
is just east of slayer tower. Talk to her about Necovarus. Next
go pick some nettles just east of Canafis and use them with your
bowl of water. Use this with the range in Port Phasmatys and
take it back to the old crone. Talk to her and then add the tea
to her special cup. Talk to her again and add some milk to the
tea then talk to her again. The old crone then asks you to get
the 3 following items; Book of Haricanto, Robes of Necrovarus
and something to translate the book of Haricanto.
5. Speak to the old crone again and ask if there's anything you
can do for her. She'll give you a toy boat. Click "repair" on
the toy boat to put the flag on it.
6. Go east of the old crone past Frankentrains castle to the
pirate ship (on the coast). Go aboard and up a ladder. Head east
and go up another ladder. Now search the mast when the windspeed
is low to get the 3 colours needed for the boat.
Make a note of these (you can check them again if you miss any.
Use the dyes on the toy boat to correspond with the colours you
found on the pirate ship mast. You may need to mix dyes to make
the required colours.
7. Go back down a ladder and into the room at the rear of the
ship.
Talk to the old man and ask him if the toy boat is his. He gives
you a key which you should use on the chest in the room to get a
map piece.
8. Go west and then north across the gangplank. Jump the rocks
northwards and search the chest at the end for the second map
piece.
9. Head back to the ship and go down a ladder. Search the
chests, fight a level 32 giant lobster and get the last map
piece.
Use the pieces together to make a complete map and take a look
at it.
10. Go back to Port Phasmatys and head east to the docks. Talk
to the ghost captain and pay him 25 ecto tokens to take you to
Dragontooth island (costs 10 ecto tokens if you use ring of charos).
Stand on the square next to the statue of Saradomin then walk 6
squares south, 8 east, 2 north, 4 east and 22 south. Use your
spade on this spot to get the book of Haricanto.
11. Take the rowing boat back to port Phasmatys. On arrival,
talk to Ak-Haranu on the dock. He's dressed in red and carries a
Samurai sword. Agree to get him the signed bow. Talk to Robin at
the pub to the west. You must play him at rune draw to get him
to sign the bow.
Rune Draw: Robin has a bag of runes, one of each kind. Each has
its own value. The first person to draw the death rune loses.
You can decide to "hold" at any time but you risk being out
drawn by your opponent who may go on to get a higher score.
Beat robin 4 times at rune draw and he'll sign the bow. Take it
back to Ak-Haranu and he gives you the translation manual.
12. Go back to the pub where Robin is. Talk to the innkeeper
behind the bar and ask him for a job. He'll give you a bed
sheet. Don't take this to Robin. Instead, go to the bottom of
the ectofuntus and dip it in the pool.
13. Go back into the town and talk to Gravingas. Agree to help
him out and put on your bed sheet. Next talk to the villagers to
get 10 signiatures and then go back to Gravingas.
14. Next talk to Necrovarus next to the ectofuntus. Pick up the
bone key that he drops. Go upstairs and use the bone key on the
door to enter the small room. Open the coffin and search it for
the Necovarus robes.
15. Go west of the ectofuntus and speak with the old crone once
more to give her the 3 items. She enchants the ghostspeak
amulet. Next go back to Necovarus at the ectofuntus. 16. Speak
to Necovarus and tell him to let any ghost who so wishes to pass
on into the next world. Go back into Port phasmatys, speak to
Velorina and its quest complete!

Notes: WOOT you got the ectophial
which is used to teleport to the ectofuntus. Remember to refill
it each time you teleport here by using it on the ectofuntus.
The ectophial is also very useful when crafting runes at the
