Talk to Sylas in Taverly
Items needed: Armour, food,
gloves (non metallic), seed dibber, 2 tarromin, 2 vials of
water, watering can, weapon and a woodcutting axe.
Recommended items: Tele runes
Requirements: 45 farming, 52
herblore, 59 agility, 58 thieving and 71 woodcutting. Must
have completed Witch's House
Quest and be able to defeat a level 138 enemy. |

Walkthrough: 1. Talk to Sylas
in Taverly. Hes' standing just south of the house portal. Talk
to him about the 2 items you need to find.
2. Go west up White Wolf Mountain to Grimgnash (check map for
exact location).
Talk to Grimgnash and say "I heard you were a great and mighty
griffin". Now tell him the following story:
a) There once was a graveyard filled with undead
b) There lived a skeleton named Skullrot
c) Skullrot was insane!
d) Skullrot hungrily grabbed the Gnome's hair
e) Started to strangle the poor gnome
f) He saw a big axe leaning on the wall
When finished, take a griffin feather from the pile next to
Grimgnash and give it to Sylas in Taverly
3. Now go to the tower to the east of Taverly (check map for
location).
Climb over the crumbling wall to the rear and then "talk" to the
drain pipe. Talk to the drain pipe again and say "I could try
and climb up" followed by "is there anything up there that can
help". Now climb up Rupert's beard and speak to him.
4. Exit the tower and talk to Princess Miazrqa (she's the one
dressed in pink). Use the option "your second-cousin, twice
removed?". If you don't have the key to the witch's house, talk
to the Princess again and she'll give you one.
5. Head back into Taverly and enter the witch's house (the one
with the really long garden). Go down the ladder into the
basement. Put on leather gloves and go through the gate. Search
the music stand for the sheet of music and read it. Go back
through the gate and play the piano (using the tune on the
sheet). Now "search" the piano to get a to-do list, a shrink me
recipe and 2 shrunk oggleroots.
6. Use 2 tarromins on 2 vials of water then use the ogleroots on
them to make shrink-me-quick pots. Exit the basement and go to
the small room to the south with the mouse hole. Stand next to
the hole and drink a shrink-me-pot.
7. You end up in a tunnel with big rats in. Follow these
directions:
a) Go north and climb nails to the east
b) Go South-west and climb the nails on the north wall
c) Go south and climb the nails
d) Go north-east and climb down nails
e) Go north and climb up nails
f) Go north and pick up the pendant
g) Teleport out
8. Go back to Miazrqa at the tower and give her the pendant. A
cut scene follows and she frees Rupert. Talk to Rupert and he
gives you his helmet.
9. Go back to Sylas in Taverly to give him the helmet. He gives
you a magic bean. Now head south-east to the earth-mound farming
patch. Use your magic bean with this and water it. A cut scene
follows.
10. Prepare for a tough fight with lots of food (preferably
sharks) then climb up the beanstalk and fight Glod. There are
safe spots to range but after a few shots you are forced to run
towards him. He very quickly drains your prayer and can actually
switch it off also.
11. After you have defeated him, pick up the golden goblin he
drops and take it back to Sylas. Now use a shrink-me-quick
potion on the beanstalk and cut it down with a woodcutting axe.
Note: If you need an ogleroot to make a shrink-me-quick pot then
go down the manhole just outside the witches house and kill
experiments to get one.
When you've cut it down, talk to Sylas again and it's quest
complete!
Reward: Dwarven helmet (high alchs
for 36k), 4,000 farming XP, 5,000 herblore XP, 5,000 hitpoints
XP, 14,000 woodcutting XP, 6,000 agility XP and 6,000 thieving
XP.
