Walkthrough:

1. Talk to the Zealot on the north side of the abandoned mine area. Say "I follow the path of Saradomin" then say "I come seeking challenges and quests". Accept his quest and then pickpocket him to get a key.

2. Head just south of the Zealot and climb over the mine cart west-wards. Go round the next cart and crawl down the cart tunnel.

3. Inside the cave follow these directions:

a) Go west and crawl through the next tunnel.
b) Follow the track south and re-enter the cave through the tunnel.

c) Go east and go down the ladder
d) Go east and down the next ladder
e) Follow the tunnel around to the moving mine cart

f) Set to run and go south, using the cave alcoves to avoid the moving mine cart.

g) Go down the ladder and pick some glowing fungus

h) Head north then west and use the fungus with the mine cart that has a "search" option.

i) Head north and check the points settings on the wall.

you need to make the points look like this:

j) First go east of the points to a group of levers (A-E). Examine them all and pull the ones you need. Go back to the points setting to check you pulled the right ones (check diagram above).
k) From the points settings go north-west then east to the second group of levers (F-K) examine these and pull the ones you need to.
l) Go back to the points settings, check the points look exactly like the picture, and press START.

4. You see a cut scene as the cart moves long the track. If you've made a mistake and the cart falls into the water you'll need to go back, get another fungus and do it again.

5. Now go back out the way you came in. From the points settings this is as follows.

a) South and up the ladder by the fungus
b) North past the moving cart
c) East and up the ladder
d) West and up the ladder
e) West and through the tunnel (to outside)
f) North and through the next tunnel

6. Go slightly east and go down the ladder

7. Go North-east and down the next ladder

8. Go west and down another ladder. You will see a minecart. Search this for the glowing fungus then go back up the same ladder.

9. Head east until you get to the moving mine cart.

Run past this and go down the ladder. Go south and you'll see a lift and a water valve.

Use the Zealots key with the water valve and then RUN to the lift and go down. The lift falls through into a pool.

10. Go east and down the stairs. Now go west and through the door into a room with cranes in it. Try to take the innocent looking key on the crate and level 95 treus appears. Note that protection prayers don't work here and that the cranes, carts and flying pickaxes can do far more damage than Treus.

11. When defeated, exit out the east door and go back up the stairs. Go west and down another flight of stairs. Go east and then through the large doors. Head south-east and "cut" some of the crystal outcrop with your chisel. Quest complete!

Reward: 22,000 strength XP and access to Tarn's Lair.

QP reward: 2

Note: Use a ball of wool with the Salve shard you cut to get the salve amulet. This
amulet is good at fighting the undead.

Note: If you you go outside the cave when carrying the glowing fungus you will have to
do the puzzle again as it crumbles to dust in sunlight.
