Heroes Quest
Starting point:
Talk to Achietties at the Heroes Guild located north of
Taverly.
Items needed: A few thousand
coins, Dragonfire shield, dusty key, fishing bait, fishing
rod, harralander, pickaxe and a vial of water.
Also...
Black arm members need: Friend
in Phoenix gang and full black armour.
Phoenix members need: Friend in
Black arm gang + bow and arrows (any kind).
Requirements: 25 herblore, 50
mining, 53 fishing 53 cooking and at least 55 quest points.
Must also have completed Dragon
slayer, Lost city,
Merlin's Crystal and
Shield of Arrav quests. |

Walkthrough: 1. First speak to
Achietties just outside the heros Guild.
IF YOU ARE BLACKARM
2. Go speak to Katrine in south west Varrock and ask her about
becoming a master thief. Next travel to Brimhaven on Karamja and
enter the house (Blackarm HQ) opposite the pub using the pass "4
leafed clover". Talk to Trobert about Pete's candle sticks.
Volunteer for the mission.
3. Head north-west to the large house just to the west of the
food shop. Make sure you're wearing your full black armour and
then enter the house. Talk to Grip and give him your ID papers.
Keep talking to him and he'll give you a key. Go back outside
the house and give your phoenix friend the misc key then go back
in the house again. Go back to the north room and wait until
your phoenix friend is in position then open the cupboard, grip
enters the room and your phoenix friend will kill him with
arrows.
Pick up the key that grip drops and use it to enter the treasure
room to the west. Open the chests to get 2 candlesticks (give
one of these to your friend). Return to Katrine in south west
Varrock and she'll give you an armband.
IF YOU ARE PHOENIX
2. Talk to Stravern about the master thief armband in the
Phoenix hideout in the south east of Varrock. Get a bow and
arrows and go to Brimhaven.
3. Get your Blackarm friend to give you the misc key then talk
to Alfonso the waiter in the food shop and tell him the password
"gherkin". Go through the door and talk to Charlie the cook who
will tell you about a secret wall. "push" the wall to the left
and go through the next 2 doors. From this room you need to
shoot Grip as soon as he enters the adjacent room. Make sure you
are standing in front of the window to do this. Your Blackarm
friend can now get the 2 candle sticks, one of which he must
give to you. Return to Straven and he'll give you an armband.
BOTH MEMBERS
4. Talk to Gerrant in his fishing shop in Port Sarim. Ask him
about catching lava eels. Use your Haralander and the slime
Gerrant gives you with a vial of water then use the oil on your
fishing rod (be careful not to drink the oil!).
5. Enter members dungeon just south of Taverly. If you have 70
agility you can use the shortcut to the east then go south,
otherwise follow these directions: Go north past the skeletons
then go east through the prison door. keep going east as far as
you can then go south past the magic axes, past the poison
scorpions, past the chaos dwarves until you get to a junction.
If you have the dusty key at this point then move on to step 7.
6. At the junction go south past the hill giants into the black
knight hideout. Go south through the large doors and immediately
east to the cells. Kill the jail guard and enter the south cell.
Talk to Velrac the explorer and he gives you the dusty key. Exit
the black knight hideout by going north past the hill giants
until you get to a junction.
7. At the junction equip a dragon fire shield, go west and
follow the passage past the lesser demons. Use your dusty key on
the gate and go west past the blue dragons and then south to the
lava eel spots (baby blue dragons very close to here.
Catch 10 eels then exit the dungeon. Cook the eels (you need to
successfully cook 2). Bank the eels for later.
8.Head to the north end of White wolf mountain.
Mine the rocks and go down the southeast of the 3 ladders.
Follow the passage and go south at the junction. Continue along
and go up the first ladder you see. You'll see 3 ladders and
some ice giants. Go down the eastern ladder and go along the
passage past various ice monsters. Go up the next ladder and
down the one immediatly after that (no more ladders now).
Follow the passage north and run past the ice warriors to the
north side of the cavern.
Now attack the ice queen (level 111). When defeated she drops
the ice gloves which you should put on. Exit the ice cave.
9. Bank all your items some teleport runes at Falador east bank.
Make sure you are wearing the ice gloves (but nothing else) then
head south to Port Sarim. Talk to the monks there who will take
you to Entrana.
On Entrana, head to the north side of the island. Kill the
Entrana Firebird who drops the fire feather. Pick up the feather
and leave the island.
10. Take the armband, 2 lava eels and the fire feather to
Achietties outside the heroes guild and its quest complete!
Reward: Access to the heroes guild,
a total of 29,323 xp spread over 12 skills
QP reward: 1
Notes: The heros Guild contains the
following: 1 blue dragon, 2 mith rocks, 2 addy rocks, 2 runite
rocks, fountain of heros (used to charge dragonstone amulets)
and a shop where you can buy the dragon mace (50k) and the
dragon battle axe (200k).
