Horror from the Deep
Starting point:
Talk to Larissa at the lighthouse, north of the Barbarian
Outpost.
Items needed: Armour, air rune,
earth rune, fire rune, water rune, an arrow, food, hammer,
molten glass, 2 planks, swamp tar, 60 steel nails, a sword
(that you will lose), tinderbox and a good weapon.
Recommended items: Combat runes
and a dragon dagger (p++) are strongly recommended.
Requirements: 35 agility and
must be able to defeat strong level 100 enemies. Level 13
mage or higher is an advantage. |

Walkthrough: 1. Head to the
lighthouse north-west of Seers Village and talk to Larissa.
Offer to help and ask about her cousin and how to fix the
bridge.
2. Head east and use 2 planks and 60 nails with the broken
bridge. Go back to the lighthouse and then go south across the
rocks and enter the Barbarian agility arena. Talk to Gunnjorn
and he gives you a key.
3. Talk to Larissa again then enter the lighthouse. Go up the
stairs and search the bookcase. Take all the books and read
them.
4. Go up the staircase and do the following:
a) Use swamp tar with the lighting mechanism
b) Use tinderbox with the lighting mechanism
c) Use molten glass with the lighting mechanism
5. Go down the stairs to the bottom of the lighthouse and then
go down the ladder into the cave. Use the following with it: air
rune, fire rune, water rune, earth rune, arrow and a sword.
6. Go through the east side of the door. Now prepare for a
fight.
7. Go down the ladder and talk to Kossik now kill the level 100
dagganoth that comes at you (easy kill).
Next you must kill the mother. You can only do damage to her if
you use the right kind of attack at the right time. Watch as she
changes colour and use the following attacks:
Orange - use melee
Green - use range
Red - use fire spells
white - use air spells
blue - use water spells
brown - use earth spells
Kill the mother and it's quest complete!
SPELL BOOKS
After the quest is over you have a rusty casket in your
inventory. Go up the lighthouse to the room where you got the
books and talk to Kossik. Choose between Saradomin, zamorak and
Guthix. You get a spell book of that choice. You must find the
pages on treasure trails or buy them from other players to
complete the book. You can return here and get a new one if you
ever lose the book.
Reward: 4662 ranged XP, 4662
strength XP and 4662 magic XP.
