Merlin's Crystal
Starting point:
Talk to king Arthur in Camelot castle.
Items needed: Bat bones, bread, bucket and a tinderbox.
Requirements: Must be able to
defeat a level 37 enemy |

Walkthrough: 1. Talk to Arthur
in Camelot castle and tell him you want to become a knight of
the round table.
2. Speak to Sir Lucan in the same room as Arthur. He suggests to
use Excalibur by talking to the lady of the lake. Next go
outside, talk to Gawain and ask him how Merlin got trapped and
he'll say its the work of Morgan la faye.
After this go upstairs and talk to Sir Lancelot in the dining
room. Ask him about getting in Keep Le Faye.
3. Go south east of Camelot to the candle shop in Catherby. Hide
in the crate out the back.
When you arrive at Keep Le Faye, get out of the box, go up 2
flights of stairs and talk to Mordred. He attacks you. Morgan le
Faye appears. Tell her to tell you how to release Merlin. Ask
her what the magic words are and where you can find Excalibur.
4. Exit the keep and get some bat bones by killing a bat if you
don't have some already. Next go to Catherby and ask the candle
shop owner about a black candle. Enter the house just to the
northeast and take the insect repellent. Now go east to the
beehives and use the repellent on one of the hives then use your
bucket with the same hive. Head back to the candle shop and give
the owner the bucket of wax. He gives you a black candle which
you should light with your tinderbox.
5. Next go and speak to the Lady of the Lake who is just south
east of Taverly.
Tell her you seek the sword of Excalibur. Go the the jewellers
shop in Port Sarim. A beggar asks you for some bread - give some
to him and the Lady of the lake appears who then gives you
Excalibur.
6. Head to the prayer alter in south east Varrock.
"check" the alter to get the magic words "Snarthon Candtrick
Termanto".
7. Head back to Camelot but instead of entering the castle, head
to the north east part of the grounds to a small temple (with
pillars). Drop the bat bones on the symbol in the middle and a
spirit appears. Now say the magic words.
8. Equip Excalibur and release Merlin who is on the top floor in
the south east tower in Camelot castle. Talk to Arthur again and
its quest complete!
