Monkey Madness
Starting point:
Talk to King Nanode in the Grand Tree
Items needed: Armour, anti
poison pots, ball of wool, food, gold bar, Karamja monkey
bones or remains, prayer pots, teleport runes and jewellery
and a weapon
Requirements: Must have
completed Tree Gnome Village and
The Grand Tree quests. Must
be able to defeat a level 195 jungle demon.

Walkthrough:

1. Talk to King Narnode in the Grand Tree and agree to the
quest. He gives you a royal seal. Go to the top of the Grand
tree and take the glider to Karamja. 2. Head north and enter
the shipyard. Once inside go south into the hut and talk to
G.L.O

3. Take the glider back to the king and talk to him, he gives
you some written orders. Stock up on food, anti poison, armour,
prayer pots and a weapon. Now go up one level in the Grand Tree.
Head east and talk to Daero in the bar.

Keep talking to him and he takes you to a secret hangar.
4. Talk to Daero and Waydar joins in. When they finish talking
go just south-east and take some spare controls from the crate.
"view" this then operate the reinitialisation panel.

You must make this look just like the spare controls. Look at
the picture below for an easy way to solve this puzzle (don't
log out while solving as you will have to start again).

5. When you solve the puzzle a cut scene follows. Talk to Daero
and then to Waydar. You are taken to Crash Island.

6. Talk to Lumdo then talk to Waydar. Say to Waydar "I cannot
convince Lumdo to take us to the island..." A cut scene follows,
after which you will be on Ape Atoll. You can use Lumdo at any
time to return to Waydar and take the glider back.

7. On Ape Atoll, head northwest to the main gate. You will be
shot at with arrows (use protect from range) then you are
captured and put in jail. When the monkey guard walks away from
your cell to the other room, pick the lock and run out to the
north. Now go to the east side of the jail and talk to Karam
(he's very well disguised in green)

8. Go south-east past the temple and talk to Garkor. Set to run
and whilst using the grass to hide - go west of Garkor. Enter
the building with the trapdoor in it but ENTER THROUGH THE SOUTH
DOOR otherwise you will end up in jail again. Inside the
building stay near the walls on the dark shaded areas or you
will get caught. Search the crate on the east side of the room
to get monkey dentures.

Next search the crate in the south-east corner and go down
through the trapdoor into the cave. Search a crate to the
north-west to get a monkey amulet mould.
9. Teleport off the island and re-stock on food, prayer pots and
anti potions. Make sure you have the gold bar, Karamja monkey
remains (or bones), monkey amulet mould and monkey dentures with
you. Head back to Ape Atoll (talk to Daero in the Grand Tree
then Waydar then Lumdo again).
10. When back on Ape Atoll, head west and enter the cave marked
with a "!" on the minimap. When in the cave, Switch on protect
from melee and set to run.

Go through the cave while being careful to avoid the floor
spikes. Eat food and top up prayer with pots when you need to.
There is only one route so its nearly impossible to get lost.
11. At the end of the tunnel talk to Zoonock.

Use the gold bar, monkey dentures and monkey amulet mould with
him. He gives you the mould back along with an enchanted bar.
Use the monkey remains with him while you are here also.
12. Teleport out of the tunnel and head back to Ape Atoll via
the Grand Tree after you have stocked up on supplies. Take with
you the enchanted bar, monkey amulet mould and the ball of wool.
13. When back on Ape Atoll, head to the main gate again and get
thrown in jail. Escape like before and make your way around to
the east side. Now put on protect from melee and enter the
temple to the south-east. go down the trapdoor on the east side
then use your enchanted bar with a wall of flame to get a monkey
amulet.

Use a ball of wool with it and put it on. Go back up the rope,
exit the temple and go north into the tall grass.
14. Go west to where the monkey child is. Watch his aunt's
movements from the passage just north of the monkey child and
talk to him only when the aunt is in the house.

When she comes around again you need to hide again. Say "well
I'll be a monkey's uncle" then ask how many bananas he wants.
"search" the banana trees next to the monkey child to get 5
bananas and talk to the monkey child to give them to him. Go
hide again, watch the aunt go past again and talk to the monkey
child again to get the monkey talisman.
15. Teleport off the island and re-stock on supplies. Bring the
monkey talisman with you on your return (and monkey remains if
you forgot to give them to Zoonock earlier).
16. On Ape Atoll go west and enter the cave. Go through like
before all the way too Zoonock at the end. Use the talisman with
him (that you got from the monkey child) and the monkey remains
if you didn't do it earlier. He gives you a monkey Greegree.
*Hold the greegree to turn into a monkey. This makes moving
around on the island a lot easier*
17. Teleport off the island, re-stock on supplies and also bring
the monkeyspeak amulet and the greegree on your return.
18. When you get to Ape Atoll again, "hold" the greegree to turn
into a monkey. Now enter the monkey town (you won't get shot
this time). Go to the east side of the village and talk to
Garkor. Next talk to an elder guard by the building entrance.

19. Go to the west side of the island and go up the path to the
top of the main gate. Go up the bamboo ladder, across the
bridge, down the other side and talk to Kruk (he's right next to
the main gate but up a level which must be accessed from the
west).

Talk to Kruk and he takes you to Awowogei.
20. Talk to Awowogei then head to Ardougne Zoo.

21. Turn into a monkey and talk to the monkey minder by the
monkey cage. He puts you in the cage. Talk to a monkey and it
gets in your inventory. Turn back into a human and talk to the
monkey minder to be let out again. DO NOT TELEPORT WITH THE
MONKEY IN YOUR PACK OR YOU WILL LOSE IT. You must walk to the
Grand Tree to safely take the monkey to Ape Atoll
22. On Ape Atoll, turn into a monkey and talk to Awowogei in his
house to the south-east of the village.
23. Talk to Garkor just outside the house and a cut scene
follows. Talk to Garkor again and he gives you a 10th Squad
Sigil. DONT WEAR THIS YET.
24. Prepare for a fight against a level 195 demon. This is
actually a very easy fight. Use mage or range and attack from
distance. This way he only attacks you with mage and is easy to
kill as long as you use protect from mage at all times.
25. When you are ready, put on the Sigil that Garkor gave you.
Immediately use protect from mage and start attacking the demon
from distance.

When you have defeated the demon, talk to Garkor then Zoonock.
You end up on Ape Atoll again. Report back to King Narnode at
the Grand Tree and it's quest complete!

Reward: 10,000 coins and 3 cut
diamonds. Talking to Daero after completion awards you 35k XP in
2 combat skills of your choice and 20k XP in 2 others.
QP reward: 3
Monkey Greegrees: You can make
additional greegrees by killing an archer monkey, ape monkey or
undead monkey and bringing the remains plus a talisman to
Zooknock the mage in the cave to the south of Ape Atoll. You can
buy additional Talismans from the magic shop.
Dragon Scimitar: Can now be
purchased for 100k and wielded. It is a better weapon for
training than the dragon long.
Agility course: with a Ninja
Greegree, you can use the ninja agility course on Ape Atol. This
is best agility course to use beyond level 70 agility!
