The Digsite
Starting point:
Talk to the Examiner at the digsite exam centre, south east
of Varrock.
Items needed: Boots, cup of tea, gloves, empty vial, 2 ropes and a tinderbox
Requirements: Level 10 agility,
level 10 herblore and level 25 thieving. |

Walkthrough:
1. Talk to an examiner in the exam centre. You'll be given a
letter which you should take the the curator in Varrock museum.
He gives you a sealed letter which you should take back to the
examiner.
2. Don't try to take the exam at this point, instead go north to
the digsite and talk to the three students there. As you do
tasks for them they will give you the answers to the exam
questions which you should make a note of.
3. Animal skull - thieve a digsite workman a few times to get
one. At the same time you should thieve for a specimen brush.
Teddy bear - go to the south of the digsite and search the bush
near the large blue urn. Special cup - enter the large tent near
the panning spot. Pick up the panning tray and speak to the
panning guide in the tent. Give him a cup of tea and go panning
at the various panning spots until you find the special cup
which you should take back to the student.
4. Go back to the examiner and take the test.
On completion you'll receive a trowel and level 1 certificate.
5. Go back to the students to get the answers for the second
exam. After talking to all 3, return to the examiner and take
the test.
6. For the last test go back to the students again. The 2 male
students will give you more answers but the female one wants you
to get her an opal. Head over to the panning spots and pan there
until you find an opal which you should give back to the female
student and she'll give you the information you need. Head back
to the examiner and take the last test.
7. Put on your leather boots and gloves and search the sacks in
the middle of the digsite for a specimen jar. Find a level 3 dig
spot by reading the signs next to them and use your trowel with
the soil. If you don't have the specimen brush yet you should
thieve one from any digsite workman. Dig the soil until you find
a "strange talisman". Take this back to the archeological expert
in the exam centre.
8. The expert gives you a letter. Go back to the digsite and use
it on a digsite workman so you can use the winches.
9. Use a rope on the western winch and operate it to go down.
Take an Arcenia root from the ground and search the rocks just
to the east. Exit the cave and go to the north east winch. Use a
rope on it and go into the cave. Talk to Doug Deeping about
moving a large pile of rocks. He gives you a chest key.
10. Exit the cave and go south the the large tent. Use your key
on the chest, search it and you'll get some chemical powder.
just to the west of the tent is a barrel with a skull on. Use
your trowel on it and then use your vial with the open barrel.
Next search the specimen tray just north of the tent to get some
charcoal. Use your pestle and mortar on the charcoal. You now
have all the ingredients you need.
11. Head back south to the exam centre and talk to the expert.
Use the ingredients on him being very careful not to drop the
liquid. Next add the ammonium nitrate, the ground charcoal and
the Arcenia root to the liquid to make a chemical compound.
12. Head back to the western winch and go down. Use the liquid
on the rocks blocking the way into the southern room then ignite
the liquid with your tinderbox. The rocks are cleared. pick up
the stone tablet in the middle of the room and take it back to
the expert In the exam centre. Use the Tablet with the expert
and its quest complete!
