The Golem
Starting point:
Talk to the Golem in the ruined city of Uzer.
Items needed: Empty vial,
desert robes, 4 soft clay, papyrus, pestle and mortar,
Shantay pass and waterskins.
Recommended items: Tele runes,
teleport jewellery, hammer and chisel.
Requirements: 20 crafting and
25 thieving. |

Walkthrough:
1. Go to the ruined city of Uzer via the Shantay Pass and talk
to the broken clay Golem. Offer to repair him then use 4 soft
clay with him. Talk to the golem again to find out about the
statues and the portal.
2. Go down the stairs near the Golem and north slightly into the
middle of a large room with 3 statuettes in alcoves.
"turn" the west statuettes to the left and the east statuette to
the right. Now go north-west and pick up the strange implement
in the corner.
3. Go back up the stairs and slightly west of the golem. Pick up
the letter on the ground and read it.
4. Head to Varrock digsite (east of Varrock) and talk to Elissa
in the north-east corner.
Tell her about the letter you found then head south to the exam
centre. Search the bookcases in the south east corner to find
Varmen's expedition notes.
5. Go to Varrock museum and talk to the curator about the
missing statuette. Pickpocket him for a key, go upstairs and use
it on the cabinet with the statuette in it.
6. Go back to Uzer in the desert. Go down the stairs and use the
statuette with the empty alcove. Turn it to the right - this
opens up the door to the north. Go north through the door to
find the place deserted. Go back into the room with the
statuettes and pick a back mushroom (found growing in the
corners).
7. Go back up the stairs and talk to the clay golem again. Now
head north to the clay mine and "grab feather" from the phoenix
flying around there.
8. Use a pestle and mortar with the black mushroom you have then
use the phoenix feather with the vial of black ink. Use the
phoenix quill with papyrus to write the message "YOUR TASK IS
DONE" then head south-east back to Uzer.
9. Use the Strange Implement with the Golem then use the program
(message on papyrus) with the golem immediately after. Quest
complete!
Reward: 1000 crafting XP and 1000
thieving XP.
QP reward: 1
Note: If you use a chisel and
hammer with the demon's throne you will get a selection of 6 cut
gems.
Note: Completing quest unlocks the
Magic carpet at Uzer
