Walkthrough:

1. Talk to Sigmund in Lumbridge Castke and ask for a quest. After that, one of the following people will have information on the happenings in the cellar.

Hans, walking around outside
Bob, in the axe shop
Father Aereck in the church
The cook in the kitchen

2. Talk to these people until you find which one has the info then talk to the duke upstairs in the castle.

3. Go downstairs and through the trapdoor in the kitchen. Go to the east wall and use a pickaxe with the rubble to make a hole in the wall.

Go through the wall.

4. Before going through you should ignite your light source with a tinderbox. Most people find the light from a candle is insufficient but this is overcome by using 3 lit candles together (no improvement is made by using 4 or more lit candles).

5. Walk down the tunnel to the first junction. Pick up the broach on the ground then go south west and unblock the hole with your pick axe. Go back into the castle and show the broach to the Duke.

6. Go to Varrock Palace Library and speak to Reldo about the brooch. Search the bookcase at the west end of the library for "a history of the goblin race". Read this book then go to the goblin village and talk to the generals about the Dorgeshuun until they show you the 2 goblin emotes.

7. Report back to the Duke then go back into the cave where you found the brooch. You need to carefully go through the cave using the following directions:

East (first junction with broach), east, north, west, west, northwest, southwest, east, north, north, west, east, north, South, west, south, east.

If you get lost then at the junctions you'll see symbols that tell you which direction to go.

North

South

East

West

8. When you're through the cave you should speak to Mistag. Use the goblin bow emotion to get him talking. When he's finished, talk to him again and ask to be guided out of the mines. Head back to the Duke and tell him you've made contact with the cave goblins.

9. Pickpocket Sigmund to get a key. Got to the room just south of the Dukes and use the key on the chest. Go back and tell the Duke that Sigmund is a member of HAM.

10. Head over to the HAM hideout which is on the mud road between Lumbridge and Draynor. Pick the lock on the trapdoor to enter. Once inside, search the crates there to get the missing silver wear. Take this back to the Duke who then fires Sigmund. The Duke gives you a peace treaty which you should take back through the caves to Mistag (this time you can be guided through so its a lot easier. Just talk to Kazgar at the first junction and ask to be guided through).

11. A cut scene follows and its quest complete!

Reward: 3000 mining xp, ring of life, freedom of the Dorgeshuun mines.

QP reward: 1
