Underground Pass
Starting point:
Talk to King Lathas in Ardougne Castle
Items needed: Armour, Bow &
arrows, food, 2 ropes, plank, spade, tinderbox and a weapon.
Recommended items: Ardougne
teleport runes
Requirements: 25 ranged. Must
be able to beat 3 level 91 demons. Must have completed
Biohazard Quest. Good thieving
and agility is an advantage. |

Walkthrough:

1. Talk to King Lathas in Ardougne Castle. Now go west of the
castle, through the gate into west Ardougne. Continue west until
you reach the cave entrance. Talk to Koftik then enter the cave.

2. Head west and at the green pool use one of the side passages
to safely pass (climb over rock slides). Continue west, talk to
Koftik and he gives you a damp cloth. Use the cloth with arrows,
use the arrow with the fire next to koftik and equip it. Now go
around to the north passage and fire the arrow at the guide
rope. You are taken across the bridge.

3. Go north and take the plank near the spiders then head south
to the gap in the road. Use a rope on the rock above your head
to swing across.

If you fall, navigate through the rocks and climb up to try
again. Keep following the cave along and you meet up with Koftik
again.
4. Next to Koftik is a 5X5 grid that you must safely cross. It's
different for each player so it's a matter of trial and error to
work it out.

Once you've got across, it stays the same if you ever return.
Pull the lever on the other side to open the gate.

5. Follow the cave west and "search" 5 sets of odd markings to
safely reach the room with the well in the middle.

Running past the markings can be a better option if you have low
thieving. Pick up the journal on the floor and read it.

6. Go up the north passage, using a plank on the flat rocks, and
pick up the orb of light.

Now take the north-west passage, get the orb while ignoring the
ogres. Next take the west passage using a plank on the flat
rocks and finally take the south-west passage. "search" the orb
at the end to disarm the trap and get the orb. You should now
have 4 orbs of light.
7. Go east back past the odd markings and use the 4 orbs with
the furnace.

Go back west and then go down the well. You end up in a new cave
- search the crates just to the west to get some food.

8. Follow the cave west, picking up the rope in the short north
passage. You will get to a room full of cages. Pick the lock of
the south-east cage then use a spade with the mud in the corner.

Follow the passage and "cross" the ledge.

9. If you have 50 thieving go south and pick the 2 doors. If you
don't then you will have to cross the bridges and spikes to the
east. On the other side go south and then east through an
obstacle pipe.
10. Search the unicorn cage to get a piece of railing then go
round to the back of the cage, use the railing with the boulder
then search the cage for a unicorn horn.


Exit north through the tunnel.
11. Follow the passage to the 3 knights. Talk to Sir Jerro to
get some food, prayer pot and attack pot.

Now kill all 3 knights to get 3 coloured badges.
12. Continue along the passage, use a plank with a flat rock
then use the 3 knights badges and unicorn horn with the well.

Go through the door into a new cavern.
13. Go south and then west. "descend cave stairs" through a hole
in the south wall.

14. Talk to Koftik then go west to the dwarf village.

Talk to the dwarfs. One will give you food and talk about a
witch. Check your quest journal to make sure you picked up the
info about the witch then head back up to the upper level of the
cavern (where you came from).
15. You must now get to the witches house. Follow the wall east
then north until you get to the first bridge. Go along it to the
west then south (if you fall you have to try again).

At the witches house, don't' touch the door. Instead "search"
the window.

16. From the witches house go north then west and then north.
*patience required here as you can fall* Pick up the witches cat
and return to the witches house.

Use the cat with the door then enter the house. Search the chest
to get 2 pots, doll of Iban and the history if Iban (you don't
need to read the book).

17. Exit the witches house and go north, west and then south.

Kill the 3 level 91 Demons (can be ranged safely from the
bridges) to get 3 amulets then search the chest near the one
called Doomian to get Iban's shadow.

Use Iban's shadow on the doll of Iban.
18. Head back to the village with the dwarves and pick up the
bucket in the first house. Use this with the barrel in the
second house to get a bucket of dwarf brew.
19. Head east of the dwarves to the tomb. Use the bucket of
dwarf brew with the tomb then use a tinderbox with it to light
it to get Iban's ashes.

Use the ashes with the doll of Iban.
20. Head north of the tomb and enter a cave full of spiders. Go
to the end of it and kill Kalrag (level 89).

21. Go back to the dwarves and talk talk to Klank to get Klank's
gauntlets. Equip the gauntlets then go northwest and up the
stairs to the second level.
22. In the north-west part of the upper level and "search" the
cages with the half-soulless in, until you get Iban's Dove. Use
this with Iban's doll.

23. Head to Iban in the middle of the cave. Can be accessed from
bridges about halfway down on the east or west sides. Kill a
disciple of Iban to get Iban's robes. Equip these robes and
un-equip everything else or you can't go through the door.

24. Enter the temple and immediately use the doll of Iban with
the well. You will be attacked so eat food if you get knocked
back and try again. When you succeed you are teleported into
another cave.
25. Head west and talk to Koftik who will lead you out most of
the way. Now head back to the King in Ardougne Castle and it's
quest complete!

Reward: 3000 agility XP, 3000
attack XP and the Iban Staff
QP reward: 5
IBAN STAFF
You can use the Iban staff to cast Iban blast (with level 50
magic). This has to be re-charged with the well after a while.
If you lose the staff then kill Iban disciples to get parts of
it then talk to the Mage in West Ardougne to get a new staff for
a cost of 200k Quest
