1. How long have you been making Videos on Youtube?
My first video was very early 2006, f2p commentary 1. I
had this video removed, even though it was popular, 10k views from nothing in a
month (thought that was kinda cool since my friend had no subs at all). Well, he
removed f2p1 and f2p2, so I decided to start making videos of my own. I gave it
half a years break, and on January 07, 2007, I made my first video (Runescape 99
strength). So, to sum up I've been making videos on YouTube for 2 years, but my
video making goes back WAY longer.
2. What was it that got you interested in video making in the first place?
That's a tricky question, I'd just come out of hospital
after a long time, and I just ranted and sent it to a friend, he loved it and
suggested that I upload it. Automatically I refused, since I'm kinda shy (who'd
have thought lol). So really, nothing got me into it, I was mainly doing it for
friends.
3. What Software do you
mainly use to make your videos?
Loads of crap. At the very beginning of my video making,
the ancient version of windows movie maker was used. I distinctly remember my
first video I'd ever made was 85 fletching.. I'd probably give away my partyhat
to see that video again. ANYHOO, back on topic. I use Camtasia Studios, Sony
vegas, Adobe After Effects Pro, and WMM for reducing file size.
4. Do you ever get the feeling that video making is really cutting into your
runescape playing time and if so what do you think about it?
Not anymore, lol.
5. Runescape video making has changed a lot over the last year. What kind of
changes in Runescape video making do you expect to see in the next?
I'm kinda hoping to see less people copying the style of
my videos, I looked around and noticed a lot more people are having the balls to
start commentating on their videos. While this isn't a problem, I feel my videos
are less original now, even though I'm 99% sure I started them all off.
6. If there was one thing you could have done differently over your Video making
career on youtube, What would that be?
I'd have started a lot sooner, I could have met even more
people :).
7. What's the longest amount of time you ever spent making one video.
Let's see, there was a video I'd had in planning for
months, in the end I scrapped it and just did a commentary. So.. Few months, for
an unfinished video.
8. Getting your videos out there is very hard now with so many video makers on
Youtube. What kind of advice would you offer to new video makers who are
struggling to find exposure they deserve.
I say, don't do it for attention, don't include your rs
name in videos so it is impossible to get bugged. If you're really serious about
movie making, just go with it. Make up new videos, don't spend just 5 minutes
planning and give up.
9. What other things are you interested in apart from Runescape and video
making?
..HARDCORE PR0NZ! No, urhm, I like playing any game
really, talking to friends, sometimes just travel places to see the views.
10. What other MMO's do you play apart from Runescape?
Sadly, I play WoW. I don't encourage you to message me
there, but I do get asked a lot as to what my characters name is etc. So here it
